About Los Angeles Airport

The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the primary airport serving the Greater Los Angeles area. It sees an average of 61 million passengers a year and is the sixth busiest airport in the world. With more than 1,000 weekly nonstop flights to 58 cities in 32 countries and 600 daily flights to 91 domestic cities, this on-the-go airport is as dynamic as the city it serves. If you are planning a trip to LA in the near future, be sure not to overlook the airport as a mere stopping-through point. The airport recently embarked on a 1.5-billion dollar project to renovate the gates, concourses, retail and food shops in order to reflect Los Angeles’ unique flavor. Please see below for detailed information on what to do when you arrive into the airport and how to prepare for your departure when your vacation does come to an end.

Flying in to LAX:
After arriving in LAX, there will be signs directing you to the baggage claim area. The ground transportation is directly outside of baggage claim, and ground transportation options range from rental cars, taxis, shuttle vans, public buses, the Metro Rail, the FlyAway Bus, and more.
