Directions To Los Angeles Airport

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is located in the Western portion of the city, near the beach cities of El Segundo and Playa Vista as well as the vibrant community of Westchester. LAX is served by the California State 405 and 105 freeways, as well as Pacific Coast Highway (State Highway 1).

Coming from Downtown Los Angeles and the Eastern LA-area cities, take the 110 South freeway to the 105 West freeway and take exit 1C for CA-1 N/Sepulveda Blvd N toward LAX Airport. Coming from West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, take the 405 South freeway and exit 46 toward Century E/Lax Airport/Imperial Hwy. Continue onto S. La Cienega Blvd. and take the second right at W. Century Blvd.

The Los Angeles Metro public transportation system offers Los Angeles International Airport flyaway shuttles heading from Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles and other locations throughout the city. These shuttles are inexpensive and save the hassles of notoriously heavy LAX-area traffic and expensive parking. The Los Angeles Metro bus system also serves the LAX area, as does the Metro Green Line light rail system.

Taxi or Town Car service is just a phone call away, with any hotel concierge able to make arrangements to have you picked up and dropped off. If you do decide to take your own vehicle, parking around LAX is plentiful but notoriously expensive. The community surrounding the airport is home to several motels and hotels, ranging from inexpensive national chains to fully featured resort-style hotels.

Once arriving at LAX, travelers will have no trouble finding a taxi or car service to take them to their destinations. Los Angeles International Airport and the areas directly surrounding it are relatively safe and secure at all hours.
