Memphis Intl Airport Transportation

Located in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, the Memphis International Airport is America's first aerotropolis. The aerotropolis model incorporates airport-linked businesses and residences with the main airport – a city within the airport. Servicing more than 10 million passengers each year, the Memphis International Airport hosts several means of transportation visitors can use for their stay in Memphis.

Memphis International Airport offers short-term, long-term and economy parking. Accessible parking is available in all three parking facilities. Parking services include emergency vehicle assistance. Short-term parking lots are located at each of the airport's three terminals, with parking rates charged in half-hour and hour increments.

The airport's long-term parking is located right across from the main terminal. Fees are charged every half hour or daily, and are less per day than the short-term parking.

Economy parking is located at the West and East Lots. Fees are inexpensive but only payable by credit card. The airport does offer shuttle bus rides from the Economy parking lots to the airport terminals.

Cell Phone Lot

Drivers picking up passengers are welcomed to stay in the airport's free call phone waiting area. After the plane lands, contact the travelers by phone, and then drive over to the baggage claim area to pick them up.

Rental Cars

Travelers can access rental car services by using the courtesy rental car phones at the baggage claim areas. Each rental car company operates shuttle buses to and from the rental car location.

Visit the Taxi Booth near the Terminal B baggage claim area for taxicab service. A taxi coordinator is there to assist travelers with selecting and receiving taxi service to their destinations.

Hotel Shuttles

For travelers booking a stay at an area hotel, many hotels provide shuttle services to and from the airport. Call the hotel of your choice for shuttle service using the courtesy phones in the baggage claim areas.

Limousine Service

Make reservations for limousine service before your arrival at the airport. While the airport does not provide on-site limousine service, there are several area companies that do. Access these services at the airport's lower level.
