About Nashville Intl Airport

Located just eight miles outside of Tennessee’s famed “Music City,” the Nashville International Airport is conveniently located close to downtown Nashville. The airport is primarily a commercial airport, serving over 9 million customers each year, but it also does significant business in cargo transportation. The airport hosts 16 airlines, including American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, US Airways, and Air Canada, and it oversees roughly 400 flights each day. Built in 1936, the Nashville International Airport has been serving flyers continuously ever since.

With four runways and a million-square-foot passenger terminal, this airport is one of the largest in the region and a transportation hub for Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama. It has three concourses and 47 passenger gates. Each concourse has a number of restaurants and dining choices, from fast food to sit-down restaurants and cafes. Other amenities include a massage bar, a salon providing hair and nail services, a walk-in health clinic, and shoeshine services. Additionally, there is wireless internet service throughout the main passenger terminal. The first 20 minutes of wireless internet access are free, and beyond this there is a charge. Finally, for customers with longer layovers, the airport has two passenger lounges, the Delta Air Lines Sky Club and an American Airlines lounge.
