Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Transportation

Air travelers to Phoenix, Arizona will land at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The 3,000-acre airport was purchased in 1935 by the City of Phoenix. Today, the airport averages 1,500 flights and 100,000 passengers daily. The airport's future development plans include PHX Sky Train that will transport passengers to and from airport terminals and the METRO light rail, and the addition of another concourse to Terminal 4.

Parking at the Airport

Drive your vehicle to the airport and park it in one of its eight parking facilities. Each parking facility offers hourly and daily rates. The airport also has free electronic vehicle charging stations, and parking services for people with special needs. Free motorist assistance is also available and includes car location, unlocking vehicles with keys left inside, fixing flats, and jump starts.

Cell Phone Waiting Lots

The airport has two Cell Phone Waiting Lots open 24 hours and are free to drivers picking up or dropping of passengers. However, drivers must stay in their cars and each space is available for up to 30 minutes.

Rental Car Services

The airport's Rental Car Center features over 10 popular rental car agencies. Reserve your car in advanced because cars are limited for walk-ins. While you wait, enjoy a bite to eat at the Fresh Gourmet to Go in the Rental Car Center.

Taxi and Limousine Service

Taxi services are available at several airport terminals, or hire a limousine for airport-to-door service to your destination. Taxi services charge per mile, and the limousine services charge per trip. Both services are accessible at Terminals 2, 3 and 4.

Airport and Statewide Shuttles

The airport offers free shuttle service to airport terminals, parking areas and METRO light rail stops, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The shuttle buses are equipped with special lifts for extra luggage and handicap accessibility.

Statewide shuttle service is also available at the airport. Several ground transportation services will transport passengers from the airport to other cities in Arizona.
