Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport serves more than 18 million travelers per year. US Airways offers an hourly shuttle to New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Boston’s Logan International Airport. Delta Airlines offers a similar shuttle service to LaGuardia. Other major destinations include Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte and Houston. Additional airlines include AirTran, JetBlue, Spirit, Continental, Frontier, United, Virgin America, and Air Canada.
Located across the Potomac River from the U.S. Capital, the airport has flight restrictions due to its small size and location. It is easy to reach the airport thanks to its proximity to I-395 North. George Washington Parkway is the first exit on I395 South and the last before D.C. on I-395 North. The airport is located on the river side of GW Parkway West. Parking is available but limited. The D.C. Metro light rail train makes it easy to reach the airport via its Blue and Yellow lines. To reach the Metro’s elevated outdoor platform, take the walkway from the concourse level of Terminals B or C. D.C. Metro bus service also serves the airport.
