Directions To Salt Lake City Airport

Salt Lake City is serviced by the international airport that shares its name. The Salt Lake City International Airport serves much of northern Utah with three terminals for domestic and international flights.

From the East
Getting to the Salt Lake International Airport is not terribly difficult. Salt Lake City proper is located at the intersection of two major interstate highways, I-15 and I-80, which run north-south and east-west, respectively. The city is located to the east of the airport and those who are coming from that direction should take I-80 west to exit 115A. This exit will take travelers to the airport. Signs will give directions to those taking flights or picking up passengers and show the appropriate terminal or the rental car area.

From the West
Those coming from the west, in the direction of Wendover would need to drive on I-80 east and then take exit 115 to the airport and North Temple. From the exit ramp, travelers will need to merge onto Bangerter Highway, which will run into Terminal Drive.

The I-215 bypass can also provide access to I-80 on the western side of Salt Lake City. From I-80 flyers will want to follow the above directions from Salt Lake City to the airport via exit 115A.

From the North and South
Those coming from the north or south would be best served to take I-15 and then connect onto I-80 west toward exit 115A and the airport.

Passengers who drive themselves to the airport will find two parking options on-site. There is an economy lot that provides long-term parking and an hourly/daily garage that is closer to the terminals. The airport provides a shuttle service for those who choose to utilize the economy lot. There are also multiple options for those who want to use a rental vehicle after their arrival in Salt Lake City.
