Salt Lake City Airport Transportation

Rental cars are readily available in Salt Lake City and may be returned ata Salt Lake City International Airport. Rental car counters from a variety of different providers are available on the bottom floor of the short term parking garage, which can be found adjacent to the main terminal.

Travelers who do not want to rent vehicles may still get around quickly and easily by hailing one of the many taxi cabs available in the city. Taxis stop and drop off passengers at Terminal One by door seven and by door 11 at Terminal Two. Advance reservations are available to citizens and travelers by contacting one of the city's three main taxi providers, and this is highly recommended for passengers with disabilities.

Several public transit companies also offer passage to the Salt Lake City International Airport. Among the options available for those traveling directly to the airport from another location outside the city are Greyhound and Amtrak. Both lines also pick passengers up at the airport. Buses run by the Utah Transit Authority bring passengers to the airport and stop every half hour at the waiting area located between the two airport terminals. Limited service is available on major holidays.

Most area hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport as one of their amenities, with some providing buses and others using private vehicles. Arrange these services with a hotel of choice. Shuttles and limousine services are also available for rent through the airport, and should be booked well in advance for guaranteed service.

Individuals with special needs and disabilities may also arrange special transportation through various special providers. These companies specialize in picking up and transporting those with medical conditions that require extra attention.
