Tucson Intl Airport Transportation

Tucson International Airport (TUS) is the largest airport in Southern Arizona, with dozens of flights arriving and departing daily. Many of the larger airlines have direct flights into the area, as well as connecting flights to Phoenix. For those needing to travel to TUS, there are several transportation options available.

Hotel Shuttles - Because Tucson is home to several well-known hotel resorts, complimentary shuttles to and from the hotels are common. When making reservations in the area, check to see if the resort or hotel you've selected offers the free service. It's recommended to arrange your pickup or dropoff directly with the hotel staff prior to your stay.

Private Shuttles - Tucson International Airport is serviced by a few private shuttle companies including Arizona Stagecoach and Shuttle Masters. These companies offer both one-way and round-trip fares with discounts for additional passengers in the same party.

Public Buses - Sun Tran is the public bus system that operates within the city of Tucson. Routes 6 and 11 go directly to the airport seven days a week, and can be accessed at one of the city's transit centers or by transferring from another route. Sun Tran has trip planning services available on their website as well as by phone. There is no rail line that goes directly to the airport, however, Sun Tran buses are accessible from the Amtrak station downtown.

Rental Cars - There are several rental car companies that operate out of Tucson International Airport. The list of companies includes Alamo, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National. Details of rates and services for each can be found on their respective websites.

Taxis - Tucson International Airport has contracts with three taxi companies in the area. In general, taxis are readily available directly outside the main terminal for arriving travelers. For those departing from a hotel or residence to the airport, it's best to call at least a few hours in advance to arrange for a pickup.
